About the artworkLG Lundberg's imagery is full of signs and characterised by an ominous calm. The frequently used image of fencing never alludes to what lies beyond the enclosure. The gridlines of the fences are crassly figurative yet verging on the abstract. Lundberg examines painting as an objective medium, where every step away from the actual depicted object is an addition made by the spectator's own imagination. 10 Metres is in actual fact a painting measuring less than 9.5 metres - the shop mismeasured the canvas. Here a fence spreads over the background and reflects a real fence stretching across the room. The steel wire mesh billows and gives an illusion of movement in both time and space.
