About the artworkVarious cars and a bus full of people drive Into Town. They pass through a landscape with different kinds of greenery, tree stumps, grass and flowers. Everything is stylised, the way reality may look when it rushes by outside a car with headlight beams fanning out in a triangle. In the same way, the grey building with its white window rectangles is a symbol for a house. Tobias Törnqvist often explores themes relating to nature and the structure of space and places where animals and humans exist. In his collages, events and narratives overlap without being interrelated. Here, he portrays a car journey where the sun paints the sky pinky-red.
