About the artworkThe images are part of a series in which the artist photographed places that tell a story. One of the pictures is taken at IKEA's private museum where they have created period rooms. This particular room is intended to reflect the 1950s. The image with the tent was taken at the Nordic Museum in Stockholm during an exhibition about the city as living environment, showing a homeless person's "habitation". What choices are made when one wishes to describe a time or a place? Is it possible to re-create something from reality, such as, in this case, a home? And what happened to the homeless woman whose domicile became a museum object? These two images give raise to thoughts on city building, in dreams and in reality.
