Landskapet

The Landscape is an agreement between Moderna Museet and the experimental organic farming and art cooperative Kultivator, where the latter undertakes to increase biodiversity on a piece of leased land on Öland. There are two copies of the contract. One copy, “attested” by a piece of soil from the leased land, is shown in a glass display in the Museum. The other copy is stored at the Kultivator farm located in Dyestad, where the vitrine is regularly filled with traces or objects from the ongoing activities in the landscape. The work, Landscape, can be seen as a performance where the artists’ actions in harmony with the various ecosystems represent the landscape on Öland.
