About the artworkSirous Namazi's home in Iran was looted and destroyed when he was a child, as a result of the regime's persecution of the minority religion Bahai. His family fled to Sweden, where they have lived since then. In this work, Namazi reflects on the event, the nature and purpose of memory, and home as a place. The sculpture is a reconstruction of objects that were destroyed, and is based on his family's memories and a few salvaged photos.
