- About the work
A veritably encyclopaedic view of the era - work, everyday life, people, nature and archaeology! In Archaeologists and Log Drivers X-et uses vibrant colours to relate a day by the Nämforsen rapids in the county of Ångermanland. The academic scientists are climbing the cliff banks, surrounded by the rushing water, as the log drivers balance skilfully throughout their heavy working day. Three years later, Ångermanland inaugurated its first hydraulic power station exactly here. X-et's painting is like a panorama where the future, the present and the past meet. And in the middle of it all, his daughter Irma, a girl holding a doll. She stands calmly on the rock, gazing at the men in the foreground.
